Trekking path in Nepal / ©2015 by Jeff Greenwald

And you can subscribe on iTunes. Here are the details from Ethical Traveler founder, ace travel writer and storyteller extraordinaire Jeff Greenwald:

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Travelers,

Most of you are familiar with my writing, photography, and/or performance. I’m writing because I recently started a new project, and it’s finally in full swing. I’d love your input, and your support.

You’re probably aware of Ethical Traveler, the environmental and human rights non-profit I founded back in 2003. Late this summer, inspired to take a risk, I launched The Ethical Traveler Podcast. Every half-hour episode starts with a short travel tale. Each includes great world music, news, and lively interviews with people doing wonderful things. Our first three podcasts feature novelist Jenny Williams, mountain medicine doctor David Shlim, and the inspirational Faith Adiele, Thailand’s first Black Buddhist nun. You’ll learn about shark tourism, Russia’s newest trek, and the ethics of camel rides.

I’m asking for your help in three ways:

— First, most important, please subscribe to the podcast on iTunes! The more subscribers, the more visible we are. And if you like what you hear, review it on the iTunes podcast page. This is a simple and powerful way to inspire others to listen.

— Do you have a travel story you’d like to share? Listen to the 3-4 minute tales that open each episode, and let me know if you have a story you’d like us to record and share.

— If you enjoy the podcast, and believe in my work, please support us with a 100% tax-deductible contribution! Every dollar counts.

This podcast is a wonderful blend of the things I feel most connected with in the world: storytelling, interviews, journalism, and activism. Your support will help me continue doing what I love, while inspiring others to travel well.

That’s my news for now. I’m super excited to hear your thoughts, and to continue producing this show for you!

Thank you, and safe travels!
